Dancing For Your Whole Life: Yogic Advice from the Vijnanabhairava Tantra

Wander or dance to exhaustion in utter spontaneity. Then, suddenly, drop to the ground and in this fall be total. There absolute essence is revealed.

~ Vijnanabhairava tantra, verse 111

Each of has the desire (yes?) to become ~ with each breath we take, with each step of our lives ~ more fully alive And yet there is the paradox that each breath we take, each step of our lives, brings us one step, one breath closer to our death. So how do we work with this? Is there a solution to this paradox?

The traditions of Buddhism as well as kashmir Shaivism see (the appearance of) this life of ours as training-ground for (the appearance of) that moment of our death. They resolve the paradox through the understanding that only by training ~ in every moment ~ in the art of being fully alive, fully present here and now, in this moment, in this moment, in this moment ~ only through a practice such as this are we able then to be fully present (fully alive!) at the moment of our death.

The quotation above, from the Vijnanabhairava tantra (a text written by the Shaivite school of kashmir around the first century A.D.), points to such a resolution. Lets take a closer look

Wander or dance to exhaustion in utter spontaneity. Have you ever danced, or performed any other activity, so completely, with such total abandon, such love and absorption, that the point of exhaustion (what distance runners call the wall) opens into a whole new realm of experience, puts you in touch with a whole new flow of energy/inspiration? Its the moment when years of training (our accumulated expertise) is allowed to open, to fall away into a mindless spontaneity when movement becomes both divinely precise and effortless (Michael Jordan, Baryshnikov, & Jet Li come to mind here) when I am no longer doing anything, yet all things are still manifesting, radiantly, perfectly. In the language of Taoism this state of effortless doing is called Wu Wei.

Then, suddenly, drop to the ground and in this fall be total. Have you ever gone out on a warm summer night, laid on your back on a grassy hillside, and let your mind & heart & vision travel out into the starry sky, with its countless galaxies? When we surrender, we surrender completely no holding back. We let the whole thing dissolve. We die into the present moment. In the language of Tibetan Buddhism, this is called the Completion stage.

There absolute essence is revealed. What if the essence of life and the essence of death were one and the same? What if both our wandering and our dancing were expressions of that one essence, and equally wise? What if we could touch ~ with each breath, each step, each of our awakened daily activities ~ the sweetness & power that is this essence?

And now, please feel free . to Dance!

Born in May 1978, this Pasco, Washington native is now an nfl linebacker for the chicago Bears. As a child, Brian Urlacher moved to Albuquerque, New mexico with his mother. Following high school, Brian went on to attend college at the university of mexico. It was here that he shined as a strong safety for the university football team. Upon graduation, he immediately began pursuing his goal to play professional football and was drafted by the NFLs chicago Bears. While most of his experience was as a safety position, he was assigned the position of middle linebacker for the Bears, which gave him the opportunity to showcase his tackling abilities, intelligence, speed and aggressive approach toward winning. An instant star, Urlacher was awarded the title of nfl defensive rookie of the Year in 2000. Such recognition is not an easy feat, but everything seemed to fall in place for the youngster as he quickly rose to the top defensive rookie player during his inaugural season.

Throughout his career, Urlacher has participated in the Pro Bowl on five occasions and has upheld the Bears tradition of impressive linebackers. As a testimonial to his skills, Brian Urlacher was once again recognized in 2006. On January 6, he was named the nfl defensive player of the Year. At times, his replica jersey has been an nfl bestseller. The collectibles and apparel industry is one of the largest revenue generators for any sport and football is no different. As fans desire to wear a replica jersey of their favorite players, it lends credence to a players skills and popularity as fans seek out the merchandise bearing their likeness.

Easy Weight Loss With Hypnosis

One of the most common complaints people come to my clinical hypnosis practice with is weight. They want to lose some weight and become thinner. A lot of these people are eager to be thinner, but few of them want to do any work. Usually, these are people who have tried a lot of diets and for whatever reason, they cant quite lose weight or lose the weight they want.

hypnosis is a very powerful technique for helping people like you lose weight easily and quickly. There is often stigma attached to hypnosis due to misunderstanding and mis-information, but hypnosis is an incredibly effective way to help with weight loss.

weight gain is often due to excess eating and lack of exercise. The problem is, these are the symptoms of the problem and not the cause. The cause is hidden beneath the surface and almost every diet only addresses the surface symptoms and not the real cause.

The excessive eating and lack of exercise that causes weight gain is usually caused by emotional or mental issues. This could be a desire to hide yourself from the world and not be noticed, so you gain weight. It could be a desire to punish yourself for some real or imagine sin in the past. It could be almost anything, but it will be a mental or emotional cause.

Whilst you can lose some weight by dieting and increasing your exercise, you will find it difficult to keep the weight off unless you also address the psychological issues that initially caused the weight loss.

This is where hypnosis comes in to its own. hypnosis helps to delve into your sub-conscious mind and resolve these issues that are causing the weight gain.

There are two ways of getting help with hypnosis.

Firstly, you can go to see a clinical hypnotist and have one on one sessions. These are very effective, though can be a bit costly. You need to make sure you find a hypnotist who is suitably qualified and professional. Typically, you wont need more than 5-8 sessions for permanent weight loss. If you are told you need more than that by a hypnotist then shop around a bit more. Personal recommendation is the best way to find a good clinical hypnotist.

The second option is much more affordable and available to everyone. You can use a weight loss hypnosis cd or mp3. Typically, these are based on the one to one sessions but are slightly more generic so more people can benefit from them. Music For Change has a number of these in both vocal hypnosis format and subliminal format.

Using both vocal and subliminal gives the most rapid effect. The vocal version guides you through a hypnosis session and is best listened to when you are not going to be disturbed. The subliminal version usually can be listened to anywhere, providing it doesnt have binaural beats in. If it has binaural beats then these speed up relaxation and shouldnt be listened to whilst driving or operating machinery.

Weight loss hypnosis mp3's really work well. One client of mine reported losing thirty pounds in a month just from listening to the subliminal CD whilst she drove to and from work each day. She found that her eating patterns started to change and she started to "think thin" rather than eat how she used to.

With weight loss hypnosis mp3's costing under ten dollars, they really are an affordable way to get the benefit of hypnosis into your life.

Cellular Phone Technology

Analog service is similar to FM radio in that modulating radio signals carry information such as voice or data. The receiver and transmitter must be tuned to the same frequency within a small band width for the receiver to rebuild the signal, amplify it, and send it to the speaker. There are limitations on the number of channels that can be used making this technology soon to be outlived. Effective February 2008, many wireless providers will be discontinuing support of this service.

digital service is a method similar to computers, in that it uses binary code of Os and 1s. Most new wireless phones and networks use digital technology. The analog signal in digital is converted into binary code and transmitted as a series of on and off transmissions. There are three digital wireless technologies, CDMA, TDMA and gsm and I will explain these three as phones that work with one may not work on another.

TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) was released in 1994; it uses the frequency bands available to the wireless network and divided them into time slots with each phone user having access to one time slot at regular intervals. In North America TDMA uses both 800 MHz and 1900 MHz bands. Most of the major wireless carriers use TDMA.

CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) technology dates back to the 1940s, when it was developed for military use because it was resistant to interference from enemy signals. Known as spread spectrum technology this technology was restricted to military use and top secret during world War 2. In the 1980s the commercial use of this technology was realized after a 1976 publication of Spread Spectrum Systems by Robert Dixon was published.

Previous publications were classified military reports or narrow subtopics on academic papers. By 1993 CDMA was accepted as a standard and went into operation in 1996. CDMA also exists at both the 800 MHz and 1900 MHz band, and is used by the major carriers.

gsm (Global system for mobile Communications) is based upon an improved version of TDMA technology. In 1982, a conference in Europe created a digital standard to allow users to roam from country to country in Europe. By 1987, the gsm standard was created based upon both analog and TDMA digital technologies. Using wider 200 kHz channels instead of the 30 kHz channels TDMA used along with other modifications they were able to speed up the bit rate with a more natural sounding voice-compression algorithm.

This also enabled gsm to provide such other data services as email, fax, internet browsing, and internet/LAN wireless access. The gsm standard was accepted in the United States in 1995 and is the only phone that can be used around the world. This technology will be the bases of future growth in the wireless phone industry as it offers the multifunction capabilities todays users require.

Here's How To Massively Lift Your Golf Putt With A Simple Training Routine

There's a desire in the heart of any serious golfer to putt better.

Some of this is because there's a notion out there that good golfers smile at the sternest putting challenge and sink their ball effortlessly. (Completely not right, obviously. Pro golfers are better than us, but they also miss plenty of putts!)

It's also due to the fact that we concentrate when we're putting. I mean, most of us hardly ever condemn ourselves when what we hoped would be a massive drive falls short by four yards. But watch our reaction when we miss the putt by just four inches. The greens are a major part of our memory and focus on a game.

Turn this into a basic training routine, because almost any golfer can improve their putt.

first, secure a level green where you can work on your putt without having to also practice correcting for break and slope at the same time. (This simple reduction of your circumstances down to the one thing you want to focus on is a key to succeeding.) If your club practice green is sometimes unavailable, or you don't always have the time to go there, use your carpet at home.

Then place your putter face square to your line and gently tap the ball into the hole.

If there is one cure-all for putting, this is it.

Practice this. Work at it. Keep making these short putts until you are striking the ball square each time.

Then take the next step. Become virtually 100 percent consistent. Make practice putts until you can get a hole every time.

When you are consistently putting your ball in the hole your confidence will rise. And this will help you out on the golf course next time you are playing for real.
